Room is clean, staff is friendly. Buffet breakfast has good variety of dishes.

I asked for a room far away from elevators asI’m a light sleeper. I even asked front reception & was assured the room is far from elevator. Turned out our room is across from elevator. Except for this error, room was fine.

The room is spacious and clean. Friendly and accommodating staff.

The announcements were made in Chinese. I recommend including English translations as well, especially during emergency situations such as earthquakes.

Huge room by Taiwan standards. Actual King size bed. Very cold air conditioning. Great breakfast, be sure to book it with your room.

Shower, while hot, was mounted a bit too low and kept bumping my head. Hotel location means you will need a taxi to get there from either train station or the airport.

Staff were professional and responsive. There are wheelchair accessible rooms. The housekeeper was a very nice and respectful young man. The staff take pride in their work and are respectful. The size of the hotel room is good as well as the bathroom size.

The rooms smelled like cigarette smoke. They told me it was a non smoking room but it clearly smelled of cigarette smoke. The showed me another room which also smelled of smoke. They had an air purifier running in the room and told me it would get the odor out but I explained that it would not get the odor out of the carpet. The third room was better but we only stayed one night and canceled the rest of our stay. The room smelled musty and damp. For people with asthma, this would not be a good option. The aesthetic for the hotel is not modern and appears old. The surrounding location is not safe for wheelchair users because of the lack of sidewalks. You have to walk in the street with traffic. The non wheelchair accessible rooms have a raised area to enter/exit the bathroom which is a tripping hazard.

I gave the receptionist my passport and he confirmed that they got my booking info. He still did want to check me in if I don't show him my booking confirmation number. My phone was out of battery (we just arrived from another country). I was mad, I told him the booking info has my name, and you have my passport matching name why I have to show you booking confirmation... he changed his mind at the last second. he acts like robot.

Room was specious, bed was comfortable. There are electric kettle and a refrigerator in the room and free parking. Staff was helpful. Dinner at the restaurant on the first floor was surprisingly tasty. Its a good location when traveling between Taichung and Alishan to spend a night. Recommend.

The room was very spacious, as was the bathroom. There was also a very nice view of the city from the room.

The rainshower head didn't work.

The tub is damaged and seems old. I wanted to soak myself in the tub but saw it and was afraid of germs and dirty stuff stuck in the dent

Great location. Easy to go to the Palace Museum and High Speed Railway station by BRT.

Only two restaurants inside the hotel and the Western one only offers breakfast. The Japanese and Chinese one does not have many choices. This area also lacks restaurants near the hotel.

Decent hotel. Had a nice restaurant on first floor.

Not too kid friendly. Very business hotel and a bit older. Breakfast could have more variety from day to day. We stayed several nights and breakfast was the same for all the days

Issues with hot water and shower head, but soon fixed.

Visually the place is stunning and that’s what drew me to book it. The rooms are large and the walk-in shower space is immense with rain shower and regular shower head. The instruction card for usage was by the nice packaged amenities like toothbrush and paste, shaver and cream, shower cap, and soap. Scent in dispenser for shampoo and body wash was enjoyable but no conditioner. Overall breakfast buffet’s selection was vast and nicely presented and open 6:30 til 10 AM. The Winter melon iced tea was so good!

Unfortunately, despite the beautiful visual look, the maintenance and cleaning needs improvement! Maintenance, customer relations experience, and cleaning needs better training and investment into physical improvements. Seems like there is dust and mold in the air system and for someone like me highly allergic to mold, it was a problem. We entered the room and immediately noticed a smell. We asked to change rooms and instead someone was sent up to “check” the smell to which he claimed there wasn’t any — so he was going to use a small portable box machine to treat the room—I guess it was some sort of filter (also opened the window) but he said it wasn’t good for us to be in the room then —so not sure what kind of treatment it was. But after waiting in the 2nd floor tea room he sent us to, we decided to insist for a change of rooms at the front desk because we had paid almost double other hotels we could have booked and knew the smell would make our stay unpleasant. They did offer us then another room on a lower floor but when we entered that room, it was the same smell. The guy opened the adjacent room and that one was better than the other two. We asked him to also do the treatment to the THIRD room that we saw and hoped for the best as we finally left for dinner after a long day of travel. When we got back to the room and adjusted the temperature the air system essentially was blowing dust and mold in. I tried turning it off and opening the window but worried about the parking attendant’s smoking rising to the room window. So just tired, we just wanted to sleep. I took allergy medicine since I’m highly allergic to mold and dust and woke up with a headache and throat irritation. The curtains when pulled open or shut had such a layer of dust (like they’ve never been cleaned in the ten years) leaving your hands sticky. Dust is visible on the lamps on the desk and surfaces.

Breakfast is great. Exercise room is decent. Parking attendants are very helpful and so do all the breakfast staff. The front desk and house keeping all very helpful.

A little old smell and the AC is loud. The shower head didn't have much force. One type of the shower heads doesn't work.

The parking attendant Jay who speaks english well was so helpful in finding parking spot for the car. It is a luxurious hotel with good breakfast and ample parking lot. The room is super large and clean. Breakfast is good.
